FOREWORD

The protection of commercial information in electronic communications

with special reference to the internet is the second publication on

eLaw in the series Transactions of the Centre for Business Law. This

publication focuses on the protection of information and privacy on

the internet as well as cybercrime pertaining to information and the

protection of data. The ordinary legal paradigms do not always apply

to the internet with its borderless nature. This publication makes a

substantive contribution to the development of the South African

e-commerce law.
