Editorial note
This issue marks some signi cant changes in the editorial str ucture
of the SACJ. We take leave of Professor Stephan Terblanche, who has
served as an editor of the journal since the beginning of 2010. I am
deeply indebted to Professor Terblanche for his loyal and sacricial
support, and his wise advice, over the past 27 issues of the jour nal.
The journal is indeed fortunate to have someone of the calibre of
Professor Gerhard Kemp, to take over Professor Terblanche’s editorial
duties. We look forward to the contribution that Professor Kemp will
make to the SACJ, sta rting with this issue, and hope that his associa-
tion with the journal will be long and fullling.
The further major change since the inception of the journal is the
structure of the ed itorial board. The previous str ucture included a
number of consulting editors and contributing editors. It has been
decided that the present functioni ng of the journal would be better
reected by a more truncated editorial board. As a result, from this
issue some faithful and valued members of the previous editorial
structure have left the board, and have been replaced by new editorial
board members. We would like to take this opportunit y to gratefully
thank those members of the group of consulting and contributing
editors who are leaving the board, after ser ving in this capacity for a
number of years. The SAC J is in your debt for your preparedness to
serve in the capacity of an editorial board member, and for the expert
advice and guidance which you furnished over the period of your
membership of the board. The sadness of losing some board members
is fortunately somewhat mitigated by those board members who have
continued on the editorial board, and the arrival of the new editorial
board members, to whom we would like to extend a hearty word of
welcome. We look forward to a long and fruitful association with the
journal on your part.
