Newly Constituted Ministerial Clusters Announced
The Presidency has announced the new ministerial clusters which have been constituted to improve coordination within government and enhance the delivery of services.
The Presidency said on Thursday the main functions of the clusters are to ensure the alignment of government wide priorities, facilitate and monitor the implementation of priority programmes and to provide a consultative platform on cross-cutting priorities and matters being taken to Cabinet.
“Clusters foster an integrated approach to governance that is aimed at improving government planning, decision making and service delivery. The main objective is to ensure proper coordination of all government programmes at national and provincial levels,” said the Presidency in a statement.
The Economic Sectors, Employment and Infrastructure Development cluster will be chaired by the Minister of Rural Development and Land Reform, Gugile Nkwinti. The Deputy Chair is the Minister of Science and Technology Naledi Pandor.

Small Business Development
The Social Protection, Community and Human Development cluster will be chaired by the Minister of Social Development Bathabile Dlamini and the Deputy Chair is the Minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga.
