Mec Jacob Mamabolo Appoints Unathi Ndobeni As Chief Financial Officer

The radical transformation of society and the modernisation of human settlements require that government must invest in human capital that is highly skilled, motivated and experienced, said Human Settlements, Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs MEC Jacob Mamabolo when welcoming the appointment of the new Human Settlements Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Ms Unathi Ndobeni.

“Part of turning around the Department includes the appointment of key and strategic personnel thereby ensuring stability in the senior management and leadership levels. I welcome the appointment of Ms Ndobeni as she joins the department’s top management and I am pleased that she brings a wealth of experience and expertise that will radically improve our financial management system,” MEC Mamabolo said.

Ms Ndobeni worked for the National Treasury as a Director in the Accountant-General’s office and in 2010 she was seconded as the acting CFO to the Department of Women, Children and People with Disabilities. From 2011 she joined the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries as Chief Director: Financial Management. She holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) degree from the University of Natal and CIMA Levels 1 and 2 (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants).
