Mec Belinda Scott Reviving the Provincial Budget

KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) MEC for Finance, Ms Belinda Scott, will on Friday, 27 June 2014 at 14h00 to 15h00, deliver the alterations of the revived 2014/15 MTEF provincial budget speech at the Legislature Buildings in Pietermaritzburg.

MEC Scott will be formalizing the changes arising from the reconfiguration of some provincial departments. The Premier, at his inauguration on 26 May 2014, announced various function shifts which have to be provided for in the provincial budget.

The function shifts that were announced by the premier are as follows:

Gaming and Betting is to be transferred from the Office of the Premier to Provincial Treasury;

Environmental Affairs is to be transferred from the newly renamed Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to the newly renamed Department of Economic Development, Tourism and...
