Gauteng Legislature Hosts Youth Development Programmes Public Meeting, 27 Feb

Led by Honourable Chairperson, Thuliswa Nkabinde, the Gauteng Legislature's Portfolio Committee on Social Development will this Saturday convene a Focus Intervention Study (FIS) Roundtable Discussion on the Evaluation of Youth Development Programmes. The FIS emanates from the Annual Report of the Department of Social Development for 2014/15 Financial Year.

The Portfolio Committee is hosting the FIS Roundtable Discussion to assess the extent to which existing programmes contribute towards youth development; as well as identify areas of improvement or policy intervention where necessary. The Committee has identified current and former beneficiaries from the: Metropolitan Evangelical Services (MES Youth Development-situated in Hillbrow); Abraham Kriel Emdeni Skills Development Centre (Soweto); Southern Africa Youth Project (Diepsloot Extension 10); and Bokamoso Youth Centre (Wineburg).
