Die gevolg van die herroeping van die oorspronklike artikel 15 van Wet 57 van 1959 en die vervanging daarvan met 'n nuwe artikel 15 deur artikel 13 van Wet 102 van 1972, is dat die vorige artikel 15 in sy geheel herroep is en dat daar nie meer sprake van die oplegging van 'n vergoedende boete in veediefstalsake kan wees nie.

Ingevolge die nuwe artikel 15 behoort voorsittende beamptes te notuleer of die klaer ná skuldigbevinding aanwesig is of nie, en indien hy aanwesig is, of die bepalings van die artikel nagekom is, asook wat op sodanige nakoming gevolg het.

Headnote : Kopnota

The result of the repeal of the original section 15 of Act 57 of 1959 and the substitution therefor of a new section 15 by section 13 of Act 102 of 1972 is that the former section 15 is completely repealed and that there can be no more any question of the imposition of a compensatory fine in stock theft cases.

Under the new section 15 presiding officers ought to record whether the complainant was present after conviction or not, and, if he was present, whether the provisions of the section were complied with, as well as the consequences of such compliance.
